Berkeley Springs West Virginia is an hour an change from DC, home of George Washington’s Bathtub, and little more than 600 residents.
In a tiny nook, in an old ball court on the hill, are the remnants of an old skatepark, left behind in changing times, for the locals to either watch rot, or take it upon themselves to make something out of.
In the spirit of true BMX ingenuity, the dudes from the LRDT crew and the nearest BMX shop- Cyclical cycles, literally did more with less, rebuilding and repurposing what they could, making a shared space for the community, and hosting an event this past weekend, that drew crowds from Pennsylvania, Virginia, Maryland and DC!
