We have a sister brand to FBM that we run out of Last Call Distro that goes by the name the Take. And today we had a milestone…Ivy number 666, just in time for Jesus’ b-day. I don’t know if the kid who gets this is going to be stoked or frightened.
I hope I didn’t sound flippant when I wrote some drivel about the CPSC testing crisis. It WILL have an effect (Or affect? I dunno, I’m glad I’ve got your and you’re down pat finally) on everything 20″ related, including our US made stuff which must be certified. I still don’t know who is going to pop into Binghamton, NY and check to see if we have the correct certs, but it would be potentially devastating to get “busted.” Larger shops and Distros will not touch products with a 39 and a half foot pole that don’t have the correct certification. All of our products will pass, but you still need the certification results to prove it. Even if we made stems out of dog crap, which clearly has no lead or phthalates in it, we’d have to prove said dog crap was clear.
What does this mean to you? Basically because some insane Chinese businessman poisoned a bunch of kids by replacing powdered milk with a cheaper plastic substance that looked exactly like powdered milk, you are going to pay for it with higher prices. Merry Christmas children of the world!
EDIT: Keep in mind, I don’t know my ass from a hole in the ground in general, add to that nobody seems to have consistent answers or information on any of this BS.
